How are Wagner premium E coated rotors paired with Akebono ProACT pads?

The car was signed over to me by my stepdad, he included rear wagner rotors and bosch pads but I'm wondering if the fronts may need replaced too.

They'll be fine.
You got your work cut out for you!

How 'bout a brief description of the car?
Year, make, model, color, odometer reading and any history so we can 'feel' it.
Congrats on getting a car. Best of luck with it.
Whutcha driving now?
All that stuff.

Akebono ProACT are an excellent choice IMO. FYI, Akebono's customer service recommends that coated rotors not be used, stating that the coating will contaminate the friction material.

are you sure they werent mistaken talking about an anti rust coating such as wax or oil?
on one thread the akebono said to wash the rotors with soap and water.. that is not doing to do anything to the silvery coating.

I've never heard of anyone saying the zinc oxide type coating that has to wear off contaminates pads.
And I wont ever install uncoated rotors here unless its getting traded in within a year or 2.
OEM rotors were trash and rust jacking in 3.5years/4 winters here.
The cooling vanes were terrible.
