Just trying to get a small consensus on these two oils. Not looking for suggestions of using a synthetic or extending my oil drain.

If you were a 3k OCI'er, and you had to chose between 1)Valvoline All Climate which is easy to find any time and place, or 2) Mobil Clean 5000 which at times is out of stock at Wal-Mart, but can always be found at Auto Zone or Advance, which one of these would you chose?

Of the two, the Mobil seems to be more robust and is also SM/CF rated, where the Valvoline All Climate is SM (not CF rated), not that this makes much of a difference in a conventional oil.

Your thoughts?

Valvoline...

Cause people who know, use Valvoline

Choose the one that's easier to find. If both are easy to find, choose the less expensive one. At 3K OCI you'll be fine with either.

I wouldn't choose either unless it was on price.
Neither stands out. Either is OK for your OCI.

Why would you choose V all climate when WM sells V maxlife for the same price?

Same here, Valvoline!

I used to use both, but never could find MC 5000 anywhere in stock. Being a racing fan, it got under my skin when V. went from being half owner of a struggling team that could stand to use some better sponsor support to an already well running team (the 19, and 9 team). So that's why after finding BITOG and reading all the info I decided to go with Havoline.
