Android phone duplicates my pictures every time

Whenever I take a picture, it duplicates them. I get one in "recents" , and in "camera". I've tried Google files app to move them but it doesn't have the duplicate files option. I've searched Google and ther's an app called Fone tool, but I don;t want to download an app just for this. Is there a setting on the phone that prevents this? i have Nougat, S20. Thanks!

It’s probably sending the second one to OnlyFans via the cloud. You should be careful. Or at least make sure you get royalty payments. A lot school teachers seem to overlook this.

The recent is just a shortcut to the actual file.

Ran into that once when using a cloud storage app. Was probably Google photos, You don't need that stuff so I never used it after that. I think it was on an LG G4 or something. Long ago.
