Android 4.2.1 - Cyanogenmod 10.1

[OVERKILL]

Just flashed Cyanogenmod 10.1 monthly on my S3 to replace the 4.1.1 ROM I had on there before.

Observations thus far:

1. It is definitely faster (no more periodic stutter in temple run)

2. The new lock screen setup is very nice

3. The new pull down bar was a surprise and I prefer the old "clear" button over the new setup.

4. Liking the new keyboard (which I was running on my old ROM), camera and gallery applications.


More observations to come!

Thinking about a CM10.1 build myself. I also have an S3, on Verizon. I love the phone for the most part, but I don't love the Samsung specific apps or the Verizon bloatware. I would really like to have a dual boot setup like I had on my Motorola Droid Razr.

Hey OVERK1LL, any suggestions for a S 4G?

Doesn't look like the Rogers version is supported by Cyanogenmod.

My SlimBean ROM (Android 4.1.2) has wifi hotspot as part of the OS. FoxFi is unnecessary.

IIRC, hotspot was a standard feature on JB period.

Will that depend on the carrier?

Of course, I'm thinking of the carrier's official JB release, not custom ROMs.

Not sure I'm ready to put a custom ROM on my company issued phone just yet.

It may if your carrier modifies the ROM

Quite happy with this ROM. It is extremely fast, battery life is decent....etc.

Whats out there for an Exhibit 4g? I had mine rooted so far.As far as a different rom,is it worth it to replace factory one?

I've been running SlimBean 3.1 on my Exhibit for about two weeks. It eats battery faster than the stock ROM, but seems more stable otherwise.

Finally got around to trying this. Dug around enough on xda to find a ported CM10 for the Infuse. Only did it last night so not too many hours on it yet but I have to say I like what I see so far. Nice an smooth. I also like the lock screen set up.

Ive been running Liquid jellybean 4.2.2 on my s3 for a while now and its much better than stock touchjunk.

Had my phone rooted 5 minutes after taking it out of the box haha
