Not to stick up for them, but this can happen with any mass-produced product. I found all kinds of stuff in my pop, bottled water etc. over the years. I'm sure if you call 'em up and/or send them the stuff they will take care of you. I have had nothing but top-notch service from them and they stand behind their products. I know it's disappointing but really it can happen with anytime.

I work in the food service industry and you want to see some of the stuff that ends up in product

Lets faced .. If you pay top price for oil You expect top Quality .. I was huge believer in Amsoil.

I went to garage and poured couple oils out .. And cute them open to examine if deposit like this is normal ... And no it wasn't there... and those are cheap brand store Oils.

And I'm sure they will replace ... It but - They will not pay me for oil that I have to go and buy tomorrow to get change... ( I don't need them to do that ) And trouble with shipping etc ... I just hate wasting my time....

Doesn't mean it's bad oil.

I never said its bad oil I said I never saw any debris in brand new oil !

Changing oil with dirty oil = good oil ! ? great ...

Would you do that ? ( I think I should be cleaning my engine .. not make it more dirty ? )

And I know best that Amsoil is great ... I have all my fluids from Amsoil ... but this ... scared me as [censored] !

I just hope that I will hear its normal ... I would be so happy ... that Im being just stupid !

I can say with 99% certainty that you're seeing additive fallout from sitting, not dirt.

I hope so ..

I would've said 100% sure but I didn't want to sound cocky.

People have observed this with other brands quite often.

Im just mad that I didn't find this in other oils that I have at home and those are cheap ... Sitting forever - previously open ...

Please provide the batch number.

It could very well be additive fall out, but were the bottles sealed? I have not seen any fall out with ASM before. You say "soft", then you say "sand". Is it gritty? All Amsoil motor oils are well filtered during the bottling process, so this is interesting. You can always take it back to the warehouse.

Bottles are steal sealed ... Never opened ..
Sand looking - Soft in filling ..

I can ... But is 30+Km away one way ... = day off from work ...

I will go and get batch number

1041053 is that it its printed on the said what can you tell by that ?

I shake container really well and it dissolved its self in 99%

Safe to use or replace it ?

Or go with other oil I rather loose 50$ then loose sparking new engine ..

Pete :) Hehe I opened .. PP 5w20 clean ..

Most likely the additive package fall out. Shake the bottles really well before pouring the oil into your engine and you'll be good to go. I've read posts where people have experienced the same with PP. Not a big deal, especially if the bottles have been standing still for a while.

Whats interesting they haven't be still ...they been driving with me for couple days ..

So I guess :D I will wait when the "fall out" will take my engine ?

what is this mystery fall out ? why it happens ?

EXTENDED WARRANTY GEAR OILS are completely compatible with both synthetic and mineral-
based axle lubricants at any ratio, under a wide variety of operating conditions. The additive will not separate or fall out
when used to top-off synthetic fluids, as is often seen with competitive mineral-based fluids. This allows for easy top-off
and refill of truck axles with no need for flushing between lubricants

Some info about fallout

Shake before use .. :) lol

If any problems with products were ever to occur after shipping, AMSOIL has
a system for tracking which batch the product originated from. Each product
contains a batch code on its packaging that can be traced to which batch
the product came from, when it was produced and who worked on it.

AMSOIL has earned a staunch reputation for producing the highest quality
synthetic lubricants and for demanding the best raw materials.

“Our suppliers know that we won’t accept anything but their best
materials,” said Rodeghiero.

Lets trace it :D
