Anybody install an Amsoil Bypass filter unit on the Jeep Liberty with the 3.0L V6? If so, care to share where you mounted the dual filter unit?

Thanks!

Don't forget your option of installing a single bypass filter and keeping the full flow filter in place...things might fit better.

I have not put one on this vehicle,

But I would look in front of the wheel wells, there is usually a cavity large enough to mount a dual remote. You will probably have to make a custom bracket though. Also make sure you use correct connectors so you don't have to bend the hose incorrectly. Most Hydraulic shops will have the proper connectors, I don't know about Europe though, as most of that will be Metric?

I've got a 2003 Liberty (KJ) 3.7L V6 that I just mounted a Dual Bypass Kit in. I don't have the tow package or the viscous coupling fan. I mounted the unit behind the hood latch between the engine and electric fan. I have about 1/2" on the front and back of the filters before touching anything. I fabricated a bracket off the radiator shroud to mount off of. I also made a support off an engine stud to support the end of the other bracket due to the weight of the filters. This is a floating bracket to allow for the engine to move under load. I couldn't find any other room under the hood. I do off road a little and didn't want to worry about it catching on something or getting hit. I don't have any pictures of it. But hope this helps you out.
