I think it’s a good idea especially people enjoy shopping online without dealing with salesperson.

Almost certainly MSRP only and you’ll have to go to the local dealer to pick up the car. Plus of course what will people do about trade-ins and financing?

I believe the Amazon thing still goes through dealers. State Franchise Laws (unfortunately) will keep the dealer model alive for quite sometime. You cannot take delivery of a new Tesla in Utah. You can buy used ones-not new ones. Have to go to Nevada.

Amazon says this shopping experience “will create another way for dealers to build awareness of their selection and offer convenience to their customers,”

Hopefully Amazon getting involved will reveal and help fix the glaring inventory tracking issues most makes have. Dealership websites are not updated timely, nor are the manufacturer websites with regard to what's sitting on the ground at a given moment. I'm curious if this will fix that.
