All of a sudden I'm listening to The Police

I always liked them and thought they were very talented. Many popular groups are not.

The members of The Police were extremely talented for sure. Synchronicity was HUGE due to 'Every Breath You Take'. That song was everywhere back then.

Rick Beato has interviewed all three of them in the last few years. Stewart Copeland is hilarious and a brilliant drummer.

I'm working my way in that direction. Started with rush, then yes, genesis and next I'm going to listen to the police because it was one of Neil's faves in the 80s.

Over the past week or so,my wife and I have been listening to Robert Palmer a lot.
Sneekin Sally through the alley kind of stuff. A couple of nights ago, we watched the video of Addicted to Love. Forgot how good that was.

The Police have some good music and 2 or 3 excellent songs. But most of their stuff is, IMHO, too simple and basic for my tastes. Sting's fake accent is tough for me to take.

It's funny to hear Stewart talk about Sting. He has huge respect for him and his talent but has absolutely no qualms about digging into him and laughs while doing it.

I've been on a Dire Straits and Arlo Guthrie run for the last few months. You can't beat the old stuff.

I worked part-time in the old Consumers Distributing warehouse on Clarence, afternoons after classes at U of M in the morning. It seemed like "Sultans of Swing" was on the radio at least hourly. I was earning $2.95/hour.

Good memories overall.
