Airbags vs seatbelts - safety

I've watched a lot of the modern crash test videos that show where a properly-belted dummy contacts the airbag and parts of the vehicle structure. But I came across this video recently, and it gives quite a different perspective--a good reminder about why it's smart to wear seatbelts. Fortunately, I got into the habit because my home state passed a seatbelt law about the time I started driving.

It makes sense that airbags and belts work together, so the belts aren't the only thing absorbing the impact.
