Does anyone know if the AGIP Super XL motor oils are any good? Of course, they're GF-4 and SM, but what about additive packages? My local Wawa carries this line of oils and they seem to be blended in Pennsylvania (according to their website), but I haven't seen any more information. Thanks

"American Agip Co. Inc., an ENI Company is active in the trading, marketing and blending of petroleum products and their derivatives with storage tanks both in the East Coast and Gulf area. American Agip markets the Agip brand of lubricants throughout North America via our lubricant blending facility in Cabot, Pennsylvania as well as sales offices in the North East. American Agip is the North American agent of its sister companies Polimeri Europa for the bulk petrochemicals olefin and aromatics, and also represents Ecofuel in regards to oxygenates."

AGIP is the oil they use to put in my car when I took it to the local tire shop for an oil change. They put an AGIP oil change sticker on the windshield so I assume that is what they used.

I've heard it is a very good oil. Popular in Europe supposedly.

The Italian racing oils are very expensive. The group III synths are reasonable enough. They do seem to be mostly a commercial supplier, much like Schaeffer's. My local tire/repair shop has it as a "house oil" (visions of a restaurant's "house wine").

I've used their 5w-40 PC synth. You can order oil on line from them.
