Oh
I just went to Advance Auto's website to look up an oil filter for my 3.7 Jeep engine. It says they have the house brand Advance Auto filters on clearance for $1.45. Searching the net seems to confirm this price.........

For a $1.45...any opinions on these Advance Auto brand filters....are they any good.....anybody knows who Mfg's them.

would be for 4,000 OCI's with Pennzoil YB

There was a thread a while back about these filters. IIRC they're made by Purolator and a good filter for the money.

Ya they are decent filters. Unsure of manufacture used to be purolater or so I thought. Good luck finding any at your store as they have been clearanced for sometime now. I bought all they had to fit my applications.

Good luck finding one for your application this was talked about a wile ago and by now most stock is cleared out,all gone...

Made by Purolator, AAP Total Grip been on closeout for quite some time @$1.45. As daman said, I'd be very surprised if you can find any left. That is, other than BITOG folks like myself who have a stash of them.

The Powerflo that replaced them is also Puro, also decent, if you can get them to sell them to you. They were willing to sell me some if I bought a few. Supposed to be for commercial accounts.

Thanks for the info on the filters...... Actually i verified before i posted.....I was able to find 4 AA3600's at a store close to my house. (i did have to call around though) Dam, can't believe i missed that on here....

Well, I assume if BITOG folks have "stashes" of them they must be halfway decent.........

Gonna keep calling around...........

trying to score some of that Formula Shell for 95 cents also from advance....don't know if I'll have any luck at all with that. (i know not necessarily the right forum)

I used to buy those all day long when they had the BOGO deals for them. It was 2 filters for $2.88. They are very good filters for the money.

Well, that's a good old Purolator! Thanks for the pics.
I can't seem to find these around here though.

They were once an average filter. I never felt bad about using them as long as I got them cheap. Having cut a newer one open, I am looking for alternatives.

Daman, I was only able to get my hands on 5 of these filters.......which for $1.45 is fine. Since you tore one apart, I was interested in your opinion...........when my stock runs out, what would be the most similiar filter in your opinion......a Premium Plus??
Thanks for any input.....

im in alabama now and they are loaded just scored 12 for my three cars. for 1.45 each and then they took an additional 75 percent off that
