There isn't any SAE SN oils that won't do 5-6K OCI's under normal circumstances.

Used to be Olympic Oil (pretty small outfit) as of about 2 years ago. Haven't stepped into an Ace since then and looked at the bottles.

Shows $ 4.99 a quart on their web site . What did you pay ?

I paid $1.99 a quart.
Not bad . Think that is about what cheap conventional oil runs at Walmart .
I bought 5 jugs of Shell 5w30 at Home Depot last year for $ 10 a jug .

Think that is the Shell variety I bought . Have not used any of it yet .

Most of the miles we accumulate are on the Chevy Sonic which specs Dexos . So , we do not use much conventional oil .

In reality I think any SN rated 5w-20 conventional oil that's under $2 a quart is a good deal. Sometimes it's easy to find $2 oil but not always 5w20 oil.
