was in service for 6,142 miles on a 2021 silverado 1500 5.3l WT.

8 quarts AAP clearance castrol EDGE 0w-20 and fram titanium FS10575 went back in/on.

every acdelco filter i remove is stuck very well. it isn’t just one dealer that has installed them either.

Black ADBV was stiffer than a silicone valve at this interval.

The filter looks great from what I can see of it.

Nice filter and Thank You cut and post 👍🍻

i just hope champ uses a better O ring on the endurance.
Maybe whoever is doing your oil changes isn’t lubricanting the gasket before putting the filter on or are gorilla tweaking them on? I’ve only ever had a problem getting a filter off years ago when I had a shop do my oil change that was bought as a bday present for me. I’ve done my own since. The filter was literally torn to pieces by the time I got it off.

i am the person doing the oil changes. every truck i’ve followed behind a dealer oil change has an impossible to remove acdelco filter

Looks ok, like it got the job done at ~6k mi. Unsurprising 'to me', adbv felt stiffer than silicone at similar fci. In my observation, that would be normal. Looks to be typical Champs Labs construction now. I wonder how similar topic is to the Super Tech MP 10575 with silicone adbv. My speculation, very close.
Anybody know how the bypass works on these filters?
Not exactly sure what specifically being asked, but I'll give it a shot. In the bottom/last pic can see the typical Champ Labs poppet type bypass and stamped compression spring combination. Like any bypass, the poppet valve will open at the manufacturer set psi to allow oil to bypass. Fram poppet bypass is very similar design.

Thanks for c&p.

Looks good. I run the same PF63 filter with Mobil 1 Supercar on our Escalade V and change out the oil and filter every 5K miles max. Don't want to max out the oil filter. We don't know exactly how long the Delco filter last until they go into bypass. I figure they are good for at least 5K miles.

they have to be good for at least 7500 miles or 1 year to go with the amount calculated by the manufacturer for the OLM...

I don't go longer than 5K miles on my vehicles either whether or not I'm using the ACD or another oil filter...I like the blue can ACD filters too
