This filter was going to go 5k OCI but I replaced a Intake Manifold Gasket and some coolant and garbage got into the crank case during cleanup and removal.

Oil used was Chevron Supreme 5w30 dino.

Filter is a Wix clone purchased at wally world about 5 months ago, was on the truck for 3 for 4284 miles. Lots of stop and go, heavy tools and equipment in the back. For vehicle see my signature.

When I completed installation of my intake manny I ran the engine for a good 20 minutes and drove it around the block.

Filter held very well and was a PITA to cut open with a hack saw.

Sorry first pic is tilted, facebook did this I do not know why.

Enjoy!

FB likely tilted the first image because the way your camera was pointed when you took the shot it (erroneously) thought it was sideways. It records this information with the picture (called EXIF) and the FB mechanism is simply going off this info.

Very nice though. I have 3 or 4 of these Wix PF52s for the Montana when I can get it back to a normal OCI. I have to do headgaskets on it first though..I bought 4 current (Champ) PF52s to run instead during the duration of the clean out phase.

Good idea, when I drained the oil it was black but when I put some light over it with the flashlight it was green water! lol.

Got a ST filter in there and I plan on draining that one and cutting it open after some miles to flush the garbage that fell into the engine.

I also have some champ 52s that I plan on using they seem OK but the Wix just feel better for some reason.

Wow. You can sure see the water in the oil.

...a little kerosene and some duct tape--maybe you can put it back on and get those last 800 miles out of it?

I have never found those AC filters with the silicone (red) ADBV. I like AC's for my Buick but they always have the black nitrile ADBV.

Yeah very rare I only got 1 of them! Pretty much exactly the same as a NAPA gold filter.

if i find pf52 with orange drainback does that mean its probably the wix style and i should get them ?

Yes. They are probably Wix. You can also look at the design of the base plate. If it looks like above it is a Wix.
A trick someone found for identifying Wix ACDelcos is to look at the part number printed on the bottom left of each side of the box. It is printed in bigger text than those made by Champ. So, all you would need to do is check one box and then compare the part number size.
