ACdelco PF48 mileage unknown, EPR Flush.

this filter was in service for an unknown amount of time on my friends mother’s 2008 Surburban 5.3l.
210k miles
the truck once warm would drop to about 20PSI on the oil gauge and begin making a lifter tap.

i changed the oil pump, pickup tube O-ring, added a oil pump girdle, replaced the oil pressure relief valve in the pan and added the gm shroud to keep the oil from spraying everywhere when in relief.

did a 2000rpm BG EPR flush with walmart all mileage 5w-30 synthetic blend

when cutting the oil filter apart there was quite a bit of metal flake in it (i’m going to assume from the lifters not pumping up at hot idle)

oil pump that went in it is a melling 10296 High pressure/high volume pump.

new readings are: 55psi hot idle, 65psi 2200rpm.

out/off: bulk dealer 5w-30 PF63

in/on: Mobil 1 EP HM 5w-30 and Fram Endurance FE10575.

crossing my fingers for a wire backed E-Core filter with 99%+ @ 20um
