77-78 during the worst time of yead. When it's 96 -100 like it has been lately it feels nice. I turn it down when it's just a random hot day and we aren't used to it.

I've found that the actual number is usually irrelevant . Set it where you are comfortable . I have two units with the same model of thermostat . There is always a 4 degree difference in the two , and they are located about 15 feet apart in the same hallway .
