Greetings-
There is a You Tube guy that claims AC systems contain leak revealing dye from factory since about 2000, making it easy to spot leaks with a UV light. Opinions?

I'd say some maybe, but not all. I had a small leak in our 08 Liberty's AC. First thing I did was break out my UV light, which detected nothing. Next in line was the sniffer which found the leak at the expansion valve. Upon very close inspection there was a trace of oil under a bit of dust/dirt from driving.

Car Wizard? I heard the same thing. I think it might just be a GM thing.

On Jeeps, only the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler have a UV dye wafer inside the factory receiver/dryer.
Which is why I said maybe some vehicles and not all. Clearly the YouTube guy was wrong based on the OP's statement.

Here is the factory dye showing up on my 2008 Suburban. The green glow while under a black light shows some refrigerant leaked from the flanged connection with the evaporator.
