I have been using AC delco -C filters (made by Wix) from my local Wallmart. I went down there to purchase some more and found only shelves full of orange Frams. The guy there says they are no longer being sold there. Any place else in Ontario I can get these for a resonable price.

The ST filters sold at Walmart look identical to the AC filters that Walmart used to sell. The comparable filter in my application has a little less paper/media but the construction is obviously the same. They claim the efficiency is better, so maybe it is actually a better media, but they LOOK the same anyway. I bet they are more than good enough for 3k miles. Note that the Kmart Ac and the Walmart Ac filters were made by different companies...looks like the same company (Champion) is still employed by Walmart...)

Walmart only sells Fram filters no "Supertech" in my local store. Canadian Tire sells Fram painted white and sold as Motomaster. No good quality cheap filters anymore.

After my Wal-Mart dropped AC, I was still able to buy common numbers in AC at Advance Auto for about $3. You might complain to Wal-Mart. I went to their web site and sent an email saying if all they carried my number in was Fram, I would buy my filters else where. Complaining at the store might be more effective.

All they've ever carried here is the full line of Fram

, Motorcraft, and SuperTech. My pickup is a Ford, I just go to AutoZone for filters for my Chevy van and my wife's Grand Am.

Interesting, I've recently noticed the same thing happening around here. I wonder if this is a corporate policy or varies from sstore to store?
