Getting ready to change oil in my newly acquired 2008 Chevy Impala with the Flex-Fuel 3.5L V-6.

Was wondering if the AC-Delco oil filters on sale at Walmart ($3.67) are the same as you would pick up from GM?

And if so, should I upgrade to Wix/Napa Gold/Carquest Blue?

Will be slowly increasing the OCI's (lower OLM). This time 25%, next 20, then 10, then a run to 0% OLM with a UOA at that time.

Thanks,
Gary

I have been getting my AC Delco oil filters from Wal-Mart for the last few months. They are made in the USA not Mexico, so I would think that they would be the same. They look the same.

Everytime I go to WM, I grab every PF46 I can find for my Silverado. I bet I have 10-12 in my inventory. At $3.67 per filter, they are a STEAL. You can't find any other filter with that quality at that price.

AC air filters I've found to be very good, too. Not as available always, but usually very well made and a good fit.
