I got a free oil change on my cruze because they changed the oil pan seal.

I usually put full syn in my cruze, but honeslty, the AC delco oil runs very good, very smooth.

Now the bottles are the same as Mobil oil, so I guess its a Mobil syn blend.

Any of you find this is a good oil? thanks!

It must be good for GM to offer a 160,000 km warranty. 2015 Diesel models, which are Verano based are at give-away prices if you can find one. Free oil changes for 40Km or 2 years.

are you sure it was the dexos? If it wasn't mentioned or you saw it being put in the very well could have put whatever bulk oil they have. That aside the Delco Dexos is pretty good stuff.

The Chevy dealer near me has both Dexos1 and regular 5w30 in bulk - two different tanks & taps. When a car specs either 5W-20 or 0W-20, they use AC Delco 0W-20 syn-blend in bottles - Dexos1. Corvettes get M1 5w30 in bottles.

The GM dealer oil in Canada is from Shell. It used to be from Petro Canada but changed over to Shell Canada about 6 years ago. I'm talking bulk oil. I'm not sure on the bottled oil though. You can ask them to see what they say but Shell or Mobil, it will be good oil.

I wonder which shell oil they use?

In the US Shell Supplies the AC Delco dexos licensed product that is "factory filled" in the manufacturing facility. Mobil supplies the AC Delco dexos "service fill" to (dealers)through local Mobil distributors selling the oil on a buyback program. Distributor delivers the bulk and package AC Delco product to the dealer, dist bills Mobil, Mobil bills GM and GM bills the dealership.

The AC Delco dexos 1 product is a very high quality syn-blend oil. I would not worry about the quality or performance of the oil. If you choose to use synthetic, I would just wait until the next oil change. Your not going to effect the long-term life of the engine.

I'm not sure what the deal is. I may have to check with a supplier. I know that AC Delco dexos1 5w-20 is now discontinued here in favour of the 0w-20. I haven't looked at the bottles lately either, to see if they still "look like" Mobil bottles or something else in Canada.
