I don't have much time to address stuff like this... Just went down and had a look. SCSI cable is definitely connected to the motherboard, not to another card, FWIW. Does this necessarily ensure that it is NOT RAID?

Not sure if there was SW vs HW RAID, if a card was needed for HW RAID, etc.

If there's zero chance that there could be raid, then Ill look to get rid of the chassis and figure it from there...

Thanks!

From the manual, the integrated SCSI controller is:

Quote:
This section provides information about the integrated dual-channel Adaptec 7899 Ultra160/M low-voltage differential (LVD) small computer
system interface (SCSI) controller. This controller provides transfer rates of up to 160 megabytes per second (MB/sec) with LVD hard-disk drives
on the primary channel, and up to 40 MB/sec with non-LVD hard-disk drives on the secondary channel. Your computer system supports up to four
hard-disk drives

The 7899 is just a basic HBA, so you do not have hardware RAID with that controller.

just get a 2940uw for $5-$10 and move the drives to another pc.
unless its a spanned volume it should just work.
and even if it is as long as both drives are present and detected it should still be ok.
only thing you MIGHT have to do is set the lvd/se jumpers.
