I did a bad thing... I basically forgot that I had put ARX in my auto transmission on my '97 geo prizm. (Didn't update all my records, then just forgot abotu it).

So I've been running about 5k miles on a dose.

Since there isn't a significant filter, I suspect I haven't actually hurt anything, but getting it out sooner would be more gooder than later.

Anything I need to watch for?

Do a cooler line flush or several drain and refills with a quality ATF. Might want to give Amsoil or Mobil1 a try. Is your differential part of the transmission or is there a separate drain? If they are separate, replace your diff. fluid as well.

I would get it out sooner than later, but on the bright side Auto-Rx liquifies everything so nothing gets clogged up.

5k? Tackleberry left it in for 20k, iirc

You think you screwed up. I got interrupted during a cooling system flush. Got the chemical in there and the jeep was needed. This was during the Spring (iirc) ..it started getting cold and I just happened to pull all of the rad caps to check on stuff ..and found ..the cleanest radiator that I have ever seen ..with nothing but clear water in it ...for about 7-8 months...

Uh oh, you're supposed to drain it?

I just stated in another thread I know NOTHING about arx in a transmission routine.

thinking here, if that was the case why ever drain the system?

Wouldn't you want the [censored] held in suspension removed from the closed system?
