Hello Everyone. About 6 months ago I purchased a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo which has approx: 29K. miles on it. Also of important note this 5.0L V10 is full straight piped, no catalytic converter's and no mufflers of any kind. I have just done my first oil change using Motul 8100 X-Cess 5w-40 synthetic oil.
Not good results, car is white smoking on first cold start up (maybe condensation) and is blue smoking on each downshift (engine breaking downshifting) Lastly I've driven the car 600 miles on the Motul 5w-40 Synthetic an I needed to add an additional 1.1 quarts of oil in ONLY 600 MILES.
I refuse to rebuild this engine, my only Band-Aid fix is thicker oil at this time.
What do I buy, 10w-50, 15w-50, 10w-60, 20w-60? Since my car has no Converters the oil additive's package that can sometimes harm the converters wont affect my car.
Motul 300v, Motul 8100, Castrol Edge SuperCar, Valvoline VR1 Racing oil, Millers 10w50 nanodrive cfs nt, Redline Synthetic, Liqui Moly Synthetic, Shell Helix Ultra Racing oil. I'm totally lost on what oil will stop my oil consumption and blue smoke on downshifts.....
