4.3 manifold update year ?

So what year did they update the design the 4.3 intake gasket. I know the v6 where all around 2004 to 2005 but not really sure on this one.

I don't know but I sure am glad my 2006 4.3 has the updated intake gasket.

I don't know either but I got an 03 S10 in the shop today with only 12K on it and the intake gaskets are leaking on it.

Who needs an updated IMG, when you can just update the coolant to G-05? Much easier and cheaper.

Green would be even better for the original silicone and nylon IMG, but it would still leak eventually. I'm not sure when the update gasket came out either but it wasn't a very good updated. The Felpro Permadry plus is a better update and I think it came out in '05.

I had to do the LIM in my 02 4.3 and my old Astro 2000 4.3 too. I put green in both.

+1 on the fel-pro much better than the [censored] GM gaskets.
