I finally recived the filter cutter today 9 am CET and ran to use immediately. In the meantime asked one of my friends to take some not-cell shots.
Here are the results. Hope You will enjoy/appreciate it.
Numbers will come tomorrow as it's late night here and I'm tired to count pleats now.

And finally a BOSCH P3280. This one was my very first cut so apologies for the raw skirt.

Here are the rest of the photos.

Mahle filters look good, some of them cost less than Fram Extra Guard. The only problem is it's hard to find at local stores.

Rockauto and Amazon have it, the price of Mahle at Rockauto is less but you have to pay shipping, buying 6 or more from RA to reduce shipping cost per filter.

Much appreciated! The European versions of these aren't seen as often here in North America, much less cut open. I used to use some of these brands on the old Audi, but never took any apart. Thanks again!

Mahle's always look awesome in the construction department. I don't know what their efficiency is though.

Is that paper media strap porous? If not they are losing media surface area, why not use a string like Puro used to do?

As always, thanks for cutting and posting!

It must be nothing but cost reduction I think. Personally I've never had any issue with these
NBR ADBVs even in last winters -27°C early morning startups.

I'm trying to buy the whole family available here. I hope there must be silicone ADBVs as well. Are they typically striking coloured than black? Those I saw here were red/orange.

At first glance it seems that the dark brown paper is some cellulose media. Further investigation could tell.

The effiency is the big deal I'd like to know as well. But the following may help. Don't know if there was posted earlier so here we go.

Yes, silicon ADBV's are nearly always red/orange although the Royal Purple filter has a purple silicon ADBV
