25 Year Old? Fram Extraguard PH30

[Suzuki-2000]

This filter came off of a highly neglected 1970's Chevy 350 that has not run in many years. Motor was contaminated with water and is now being torn down and rebuilt.

The leaf spring looks ruffles free and cherry !! ... back when they knew how to make them.

Considering the amount of rust that must be in that engine would you be better off using a different core? It's not like a 350 chev is hard to find

Yeah that sure looks like a boat anchor candidate if the rest of the inside looks like that.

Reading engine description/details, pretty much what would be expected. As noted, stamped spring seal area smooth, as it should be.

I find it hard to believe that block is any good for a rebuild.

Given the conditions it was exposed to it's good to see that the cardboard endcaps don't just fall apart when saturated.

I actually have a old 350 small block 2 bolt main ending in 0010


Up at dad’s estate; has a Pennzoil filter on it. Next time I’m up I’ll take filter off and cut it and post it.
