So I guess I'm kind of wanting to know is this 229.71 oil offering a quality that is a little better?. I do see that the ravenol does offer that as well. But they're viscosity is a little higher.
Thanks in advance.

I just looked at the Castrol Edge EP 0W-20 bottle and it shows all the approved specs as well as 229.71. This looks like an outstanding synthetic. I might have to give this a try on the next change.

AND it's not marked as synthetic, Ravenol is saying mineral oil. Clearly, yours is different, amd synthetic, but meets the same 229.71 specs.

You’re fine to use the oil, but on a brand new vehicle, let alone one changed at reasonable intervals, will not have any need for “carbon buildup reduction”. Just floor it when you’re on on-ramps, that’s all your vehicle will need for carbon buildup reduction 😂
That’s my recipe for trying to keep my Corvette’s engine free of carbon! And even if it doesn’t work in the long run, it’s still a lot of fun along the way 🤣
