Just read the back of the bottle.

API Service; SG, SF/CC, CD . I don't know what that means.

Goes on to say; This Heavy Duty single weight motor oil is formulated with additive Z-7 and High Performance, high VI, base stocks....

SG is the oil quality grade that was introduced in the early 90s, so that bottle is over 10 years old.

It might still be usable... if your owner's manual specifies SG and 20W20 for your car. Which is unlikely. Might find some interested oil collector on eBay.

It doesn't mean the bottle is as old as the API grade. It just means the oil has been formulated to meet that standard, and fails to meet later standards. I'm using an SF/CC oil at the moment, and it's a current Valvoline product.

Well, shut my mouth.

I bought 2 cases of this stuff last winter for my 1951 GMC truck, with inline 6-cyl.

Works great for a thin, winter oil in older vehicles. However, you probably don't want it in a modern vehicle...unless you got a Jeep or something.

I found mine at a local oil distributor (had to blow dust off the cases) and also found some at a Ace Hardware store in southern Oregon last Spring.

p.s. you can also find old school Pennzoil 30w at some Sears auto centers.
