I was looking on Amazon for oil and some people say that Subaru oil is Idemitsu oil.
I see couple different once.
1. Idemitsu ZEPRO Eco Medalist Advanced Moly
2. Idemitsu Full Synthetic 0W-20 Engine Oil SN/GF-5
3. Idemitsu ZEPRO Eco Medalist Dexos2

They are all around %20-$21. I'm wondering which one would be better. Can I use different oil at different oil changes?

I have used mostly Liqui Moly for my B8.5 Allroad but wondering if it is an overkill for 2018 Subaru Forester. Price of LM for 0w20 is around $36 for 5L. I like that is not 5q as Forester needs 5.1q.

I just changed my Mom's 2018 Outback's factory fill to Advanced Moly version for it's first oil change. I had heard that Idemitsu made Subaru's oil too. I chose it because I was enamoured by the additional amount of Moly. She will run it 6k miles regardless of time.

I use Napa 0W20 synthetic that was on sale at $18.99/5 qt jug until yesterday. But it will be back.

I do not think you need anything more than a name brand 0W20 synthetic for a Subaru engine.

I have 80K miles between my two Subarus.

I buy Subaru oil filters by the 6 pack on Amazon.

Look, before this goes on for too long, the long and short of it is that you don't need some razzle dazzle, high priced, micro nano opto intelligent molecule hyper oil, now with extra razzle be-dazzle (Brought to you by Snoop Dogg).

Even though Snoop is actually really funny with Martha Stewart on their cooking show (look it up).

You just don't.
Really.

Buy something that meets OEM spec, change it on a regular basis, save some dough, and go wax that thing.

Any quality oil will do. The stuff you list is cheap enough now though- I'd go with #3
If it was mine I'd go with Magnatec

I'm running eco dexos in my 18 currently just picked more up on the deal. I plan on doing a used oil analysis to see how it's doing.

A used oil analysis for a 2018 may not make sense unless you have more than 20k miles. TBN will be valid but the rest is break in related.

Probably is better to stick with one brand/type for as long as you can to keep the recipe the same as what was qualified, yet its not generally a problem to change type used every oil change.
ZEPRO Eco Medalist Advanced Moly is the same as Mazda-branded motor oil. The very high level of moly is good for cold start and warm-up wear reduction before the ZDDP is activated by high heat and pressure. Other oils do it using esters, yet the massive moly level is effective too.

LiquiMoly motor oil is just OK; nothing extra-performance there. .. In fact it does not meet dexos1 Gen2 performance requirements. . Also, LiquiMoly motor oil does not contain moly, yep, seems weird from the name they have. See https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4456589/15_Nissan_Rogue,_4869_miles,_L and note the 13 ppm moly is actually the left-over amount from the previous oil in it. Normally a moly-FM motor oil will have around 80 ppm, very often.

Just about all 0w20 is already synthetic anyway. Few semi-syns there. No conventional all-GroupII in 0w20.

my next scheduled change is coming up at 15k but thanks for the concern.

use a spec oil + filter + keep records + receipts if you want a valid warranty!!!

How much moly is in this oil?

I grabbed some of the Advanced Moly Zepro from Amazon to use for the first oil change for my '18 Crosstrek which will probably happen around the end of July. The manual specifies full synthetic 0W-20 that meets the SN spec. My original plan was to use either Valvoline Advanced Synthetic (formerly Syntech) or Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy, but this was slightly cheaper per quart and gets delivered to my door without making a run to Costco. The extra moly is just lagniappe. I considered the D1G2 variant of Zepro (about $0.40/quart cheaper) but the lead time on Amazon showed up as 1-2 months rather than 1-2 days.

The sump capacity on an FB20D is 4.7 quarts (4.4 L), so buying a 5-quart jug is also convenient. The opposite situation from my wife's van, where the sump capacity is just a bit more than the 6-quart package that M1 comes in.

Which is why GM shouldn't have been messing with logos and naming conventions for the new generation of the specification. Make it something for the oil companies to attend to, and make it seamless for the consumer. European OEM specs have all kinds of revisions, but they're not plastered all over the bottle.

A current dexos1 oil should be a current dexos1 oil, full stop.
