It's starting to show it's age, but at nearly 120K miles, automatic transmission, worse gearing and bigger tires, it has way more power than their 3.8 ever had.
It's had a rough life. Wrecked pretty bad when new and I beat it up off road and tow / haul with it. My Cherokee was made when Chrysler's quality started to decline pretty seriously.
Aside from a front differential that went bad, everything I have had to do to it is typical of a 120K mile vehicle.
It weeps a bit from the RMS and oil filter housing to the tune of about 1 quart / 5000 miles.
I *might* consider another 08-11 wrangler (still not sure on the pentastar) for myself for a daily driver, but I would have to have money set aside for a replacement engine.
