The Internet seems to make issues seem more common than they actually are.

!! I'd be interested in seeing them!

X2. I'd love to see them!

They might as well be made in China, given how weak they are.

The best thing they ever did was buy automatics from Benz and ZF.

American made transmissions never have problems

Same here...almost 10K (and with the factory installed "heavier" QS transmission fluid, not the thin QDC dual-clutch fluid that has been TSB'd because some folks complain about cold-shifting issues).

Maybe someone higher up got taken care of if they vote for the move.

The MT82 transmission in question is built by Ford and supplier Getrag at a joint venture in Nanchang, China — a point that has only added to the ire of some customers. And it's not the first time owners of that transmission have reported trouble shifting; the same problems were reported by owners of Land Rover Defenders.

I think it looks good on them personally. They should have used a German or US built unit (Getrag is German). Or another brand of gearbox.

I don't have a dog in this fight but c'mon... 6k miles? 11k miles?

That hardly indicates longevity or quality to me. Get back to me when you've got 70 or 80k miles and a few strip passes and a couple of HPDE's at some nice road courses.
