Fine, but it is still hearsay until at least some basic aspects of why are brought forth. Im not making any claims of right/wrong, but rather I am interested in why.

I can certainly understand why a V8 RWD lexus sedan is different than an avalon.

But the camry/ES/RX/Highlander and maybe the hybrids - what is so fundamentally different about their mechanical/electrical plant? I can get interior appointments, sheetmetal and suspension tuning, but this is the case across a lot of cars.

I agree with you here. I think a lot of it is just as you say. Insulation, tuning of the ecm, maybe some suspension differences. My Mothers companion has a Toyota Highlander which is 2 years newer than My RX. Though it is a very nice vehicle, I still prefer mine. Now this is just my opinion, but the Toyota version just seems like its quality isnt quite as high.(feels like its built cheaper) to me. idk. I would like to see some responses here with Infinity owners. There must be Nissan models which are close to the Infinity, but just not the same correct?
