2008 SATURN VUE 3.5L 6-cyl Engine Code N

Oil Filter: EAO64

It is very interesting that the application guide says this:

2007 SATURN VUE 3.5L 6-cyl Engine Code 4 EAO13
2008 SATURN VUE 3.5L 6-cyl Engine Code N EAO64

We are talking about the Honda 3.5. Did the oil filter change for GM's Honda purchased engine?

GM dropped the Honda 3.5 with the 2008 redesign.

The 3.5L engine you see is a GM pushrod LZ4 60-degree V6.

I have not seen the engine, the customer is telling me his 2008 has a Honda engine.

Also - what is this engine: 2008 SATURN VUE 3.6L 6-cyl Engine Code 7

"Vue XR and Vue Red Line, are powered by GM’s sophisticated, high-feature 60-degree dual overhead cam 3.6L V-6 VVT that delivers an estimated 257 horsepower (192 kW) at 6,500 rpm** and 248 lb.-ft. (336 Nm) of torque at 2,100 rpm.*"

Note: This engine was used in the Cadillac CTS and is in the 08' Buick Enclave

he may have bought the vue because of the honda engine. Break the news to him slowly. I'm sure he won't be happy about it.

The Honda powertrain was great in my 06' VUE, but the rest of the vehicle was not. After 3 sway bar end link replacements, multiple door adjustments, intermittent very bad sounding front end creaks and groans, wind rushing in from door seals, etc., I unloaded it.

Power was one thing that vintage of VUE with the Honda 3.5L was not lacking.

Did you drive our Vue? LOL Sounds exactly the same as our 04 model. The front door w/strips need replacing and another round to the dealer for under-carriage creaking to be fixed. I thought about getting rid of it, but I can't justify that as it's nearly paid for now.

The 3.5L takes the normal GM PH59/L20123/51045. The new 3.6L takes the new 22mm threaded filter PH48/L12222/57060
