Are you sure this is a 2008 US model? All the mags said there are no major changes for the 6. I thought the Sport Wagon was dropped for 08?

So, the Mazda-6 gets big and bloated.

I guess it is too hard to ask an automaker to make the stereo replaceable so that we can install real megawatt audio systems.

I also can't stand the wanna-be racer push button start. Sorry, give me a key. I'll wire in my own push button when my ignition switch wears out in 15 years.

It may look bigger and bloated but it weighs less with improved MPG.

The stereo in the Mazda6 has always been replacable. Metra makes the turbo kit for it.

As for your third point, you are just complaining to be complaining.

actually the pushbutton is a good idea, since the ignition is operated by a pass key you keep on your person. A cardholder just sits inside and presses the start button. No keys, keyfobs required, although they are still there and can be used AFAIK

I stopped at a Mazda dealer today to look at these cars..(not yet available) He tells me that a short run of 07 design cars will be badged as 08's. The new model 6 shown above will be introduced at the end of the year and be badged as 09 models. He said that they have been told that the wagon will probably not be offered in the US due to poor sales of the current model.

That would be a mistake! The wagon looks great and is a fantastic alternative to a Crossover or SUV, for those of us that don't want to buy into that segment.
