What do you guys think?

New engines choices are 2.5L ~180hp base engine and 3.5L "Cyclone" ~268hp

No turbo?

Well there is some talk about a Mazdaspeed version targeted for around the '09 model year, but of course it's speculation. I hope we can see the 08s in showrooms sometime this year... That wagon (surprisingly) looks hot!

havent seen any in my dealer yet. ill check the yard tomorrow. ive always liked the mazda 6's, and i was going to buy one, but i bought a Volvo S60R 6 speed instead. the new 3.5L will be nice, the CX-9s are going to have the 3.7L version of that motor. the bad side though, is that the 3.5 and 3.7 have the water pump driven by one of the timing chains. other than that, the car is nice.

WOW!!!! from a 5 times mazda owner. Ditto the above response on the wagon, avant, touring or whatever you want to call it.

I like it a lot too. Interior looks to be a step up in quality. Looks like a six speed from the shifter too. I'll take the blue wagon in the picture with V6, manual and nav...

Is the 5-door gone? IMO, that was the best looking Mazda6.

Pictures 18, 20 and 22 are hatchbacks. Whether or not they'll make it to the US are still up in the air. Rumors are flying on Mazda6club that this isn't the 6 the U.S will be getting, but that's how rumors go. I can't imagine why Mazda would produce 2 different 6s...but they're partially controlled by Ford, who has a nasty habit of providing better cars for Europe than it does for the U.S. so I guess we'll see when the trucks start arriving at dealerships. I think it looks fantastic, except for the low-rent Camry Solara grille.

Also rumored is the Twin-turbo V6 Mazdaspeed 6 which I will also believe when I see.

The 6-spd MTX has been around for a while now in he Mazda6.

I just got a chance to check out a nearly-new Mazda 6 Base Model. Steel wheels and basic interior, white. It was not quite what I expected.

I havent seen any real market specific info other than word that North America will continue to get all 3 body types, possibility of a 3.7L V6 (currently in the CX-9).

In terms of diesels, the Mazda 3 currently has a 2.0L 143hp/266ft-lb turbodiesel available in Europe.
The MZR-CD 2.0-litre common-rail turbo diesel with high power and high torque
Low fuel consumption, returning 47.1mpg (combined cycle)
Low operating noise for petrol-like refinement

I think it would be smart to begin offering this engine here.
