I've been using the Toyota juice since new. At 100k miles now, and I have changed it roughly every 30k miles. Thinking of trying something new - just because

Any thoughts? RP? M1?
I usually just do OEM on most fluids that aren't oil, so any ideas are welcomed.

I've had great success with M1 synthetic in my 98 Camry V6. Transmission shifts unbelievably smooth, esp in cold weather and high RPM shifts. I recommend it.

Now having good results with Amsoil's transmission fluid as well, if have access to it.

Which Toyota juice does it call for? T-IV? If so, you can use any fluid that lists T-IV or 3309 on the label. If your owner's manual lists a different fluid, you gott'a use whatever you like which meets that spec. By the way, the current formulation of Mobil 1 ATF does not list T-IV (previous formulations did list it).

Thanks guys. I was thinking M1 or RP, so I'll go see what's on sale after the weekend. Happy New Year!

My '11 Corolla spec's for Toyota WS. Amsoil markets that their Amsoil ATL meets the WS standard, so I may try that after my warranty lapses. I was quoted $8.90/qt plus shipping for the Amsoil. My local Toyota dealership has OEM Toyota WS for $6.86/qt. I tried to find out some more information of the Toyota WS in the regards of synthetic/semi-synthetic and the response I got from the parts counter was, "Uhh...the bottle doesn't say."

Cool. Please purchase from a BITOG site sponsor. I can better that price if you buy a case and it's certainly cheaper in the by the gallon. ($34.85/g or $8.71/qt)
