Bet it won't beat the Subie to sixty, although it probably would to a hundred mph.

4.5-4.8 seconds (depending on your source) are the official times. The M5 is quicker than the Subie in probably every benchmark unless we are going off-road or WAY up in the mountains

Of course the car came with Pilot PS2's on it as well remember, which are quite sticky. With the DSC off and a good launch it comes out of the hole quite well.

Unless you drag race

(which, since getting out the Mustang scene, I haven't participated in to any great degree).

When I had the Mustang at the track on ET Streets you'd launch at 5 or 6K with a side-step of the clutch going WOT. I did manage to break a T5 but that, and a yoke, were my only casualties.

*tear*

Brings back memories of mine...needless to say the 4EAT in 2009-2013's leaves me wanting.

Enjoy the weather band on the radio!

Edit:

Forgot to say I pulled off anywhere from 22-25mpg on the highway trips.

Am driving it as of this evening (and now to teach the wife how to drive standard...) Encountered a bit of a hick-up though, apparently the OE calipers, or at least one of them, wasn't overly happy with the new pads and rotors and one of the pistons stuck on me resulting in quite a smoke show from the left-front wheel. Goes in tomorrow at 9AM for a new caliper, LOL!

Otherwise, love that little turbo whine!

I would recommend replacing the brake hose at the same time. They can cause similar symptoms to a stuck caliper. Also, the rubber quickly degrades if brakes get overheated for an extended amount of time.

Over 200 passes on my car without a hiccup. But I always run street tires only which is what the car was designed around. I could easily knock off two tenths or more with some sticky drag radials.

Nice Subie, IMO one of the best economical cars for the frozen tundra. let's see how wifey does tearing it up!

That's commitment there, getting the car, then teaching the wife to drive standard!
I wonder how long it will be before she asks to take out the M5?

Well, it has a new caliper and seems fine now. I'll check out the brake hoses when I do a tire rotation and see how they are.

Great little car, lots of fun and seems to be pretty good on gas so far.

Don't go there Ian, LOL!!!

Looks nice! 2400lb tow rating too. My buddy had one with the AT but found it a little thirsty for his commute, but he was coming from a Civic, not an Expedition.

LOL! Yeah, that'd be a relatively noticeable difference in the other direction. I've put almost 200Km on it and still have 3/4 of a tank of gas! I'm loving it!

Tried to teach my wife stick last night and she didn't do too badly. A few more lessons and she should be OK I think

God knows, living in Vancouver I'll sure never be able to own something that expensive!

This isn't the GTA so housing prices actually aren't too bad. The places worth 1M+ are a block or so over, LOL!

Prices in this area are between 200 and 500K roughly.

That is funny eh, location location location...
I actually found alot of old houses in Buffalo are much more interesting architecturally than the houses here, but many haven't been maintained, and repairing or replacing all the fancy workmanship isn't worth doing.

Yup, a 250K house here would be worth around 1M in the GTA IIRC. Absolutely nuts!

A regular bargain I tell ya. LOL! I hear you. Prices aren't what they used to be.

200K buys you something pretty nice in the wonderful Buffalo area.
