2005 Ford Ranger, 4cyl 2wd auto tune up questions

well he got the truck, so let the maintenance begin!

as far as oil i've noticed my wifes car (12 fusion), this ranger, and many fords call for 5-20 synthetic blend. i have a jug of regular 5-20 supertech already, is there a reason ford calls for the synthetic blend or will the supertech be OK in this? just wondering because it could save him 15 bucks if i can use the jug i got

Ford factory fill is synthetic blend, they never offered a 5W20 dino. As long as the Supertech meets the spec, which it should, you are fine with it.
