2003 FX 35 Rough Idle at start up

Hello,

My friends FX 35 (80,000 km)idles pretty rough at startup (you can feel it shaking)then the "Service engine soo" light comes up. Would it be Mass Air Flow sensor or an O2 sensor related. Please chime in

You are going to need a scanner. Sounds like maybe more of a coil issue or something.

MAF does not show bad idle, and o2 sensor should not either.

Codes can often be read for free at auto parts stores.

Given it is a Nissan, most likely cause is one of the ignition coils. But without a scanner, you will be throwing parts at random.
