Addendum Note: The Mo contained in some formulations is for combustion enhancement.

Some formulations may contain a low-smoke additive and a fuel stabilizer such as N,N'-di-sec-butyl-p-phenylenediamine, which do not show in a low-cost VOA.

Thanks for sharing these oils. I wonder how they'd look today. The 2 stroke with fuel stabilizer is convenient but I usually have trouble finding them in my neck of the woods.

The VP that I'm doing does have stabilizer in it according to the label.

I am not sure what a VOA is going to tell you, but here is some background on 2-cycle formulations:

Can you share the name of the additive? I'm yearning for a white paper rabbit hole. I want to dig into the chemistry of it, how it reacts, and so on.
One combustion improver is a special sulphurized oxymolybdenum dialkyl-dithiophosphate.

Another combustion improver is a borated polyisobutenyl (Mn 950) succinimide dispersant.

Combustion improvers increase burn time and reduce port deposits.

Seems that most of the oils for ope have a stabilizer . The oils for dirt bikes and go carts do not .
Must be a regional thing.
I can only tell if it has the stabilizer included if it mentions it on the bottle somewhere. Even the Super Tech Full Synthetic I am currently using doesn't mention anything.

You don't have ethanol shield or echo red armor around? I doubt super tech would have it. Have you been to Lowe's or home Depot?
I'll try to visit those two stores & see what they offer, thanks. The one I did find a few years back was from Menard home improvement store & it was a "Semi-Synthetic" w/stabilizer. I haven't seen it back in stock since then.

Combustion improvers increase burn time by giving additional material to burn and keep temps hot in the exhaust?
They increase burn time by burning as much fuel as possible before the exhaust port opens. Burning as much fuel as possible means less unburnt fuel going out the exhaust port and leaving residues.
