Clear night, with a good moon...

Launch was visible, though first I was looking at the wrong thing (a plane flying away with a vapor trail). Soon saw the right one and got some photos.

Just after a separation, note the faint second item in the top right, it is brighter on my retina display, but I think compression washes it out:

Of course they were way zoomed (300mm lens on a 36MP camera).

Photobucket compresses them funny, but you can still make everything out.

This was from my street, around 39.9deg N.

Cool pics...not swamp gas or Venus (was joking in the UFO thread, as they were cool also).

Photobucket does weird stuff...use GIMP, save it to 600x800 (if you do 600x800, photbucket won't go any harder), save it as the highest res JPG you can, and photobucket won't change it when you upload.

If you are over 600x800, it will compress the freckle out of it.
 
that is so awesome so cool:) for any years, ever sinv i was a teen i wanted to get into astrophotography, taking pictures of lightining...never did. money*
i was gunna witness this launch..form here in stamford ct, roomate wanted too go to store. i know the launch window was between 7 30 pm and 9 30 pm. around 8 15 it launched we were in the car driving to a food store
