Its an amazing story and I wish them luck, I cant even comprehend going into a mine like that much less being trapped, creeps me out thinking about an hour long ride up that shaft, big time panic attack for me!

This reminds me of the Jessica McClure saga back in the 80's. Little girl was trapped in a well in Texas, and was rescued on live TV. CNN got a huge boost from having live coverage. Jessica will turn 25 this next March and will receive her million dollar trust fund.

Godspeed to those miners.

What did Jessica McLure do to "deserve" a million dollar trust fund?

If it is from falling in a well and she came out OK, I sure hope it is heavily taxed.

I do hope the miners come out in mentally stable shape. Has to be very weird, especially since you can totally loose track of time and days. Glad some US-made equipment is going to help.

What an uninformed comment.

The trust fund is from donations during and after her incident. It's what's left over after part of her foot was amputated, and the dozen or so surgeries she had to endure do to falling in the well were finished.

And her last name is spelled "McClure".

Hi, I'm Jessica McClure and you may remember me from such films as "Hey, where did that well come from?" and "Wishing well from Heck".

A few Valium would easily fix that...
