I found like 10 quarts of amsoil 10w30 small engine oil that I don't use anymore because all these small engines seem to call for a 50 weight of some sort now. Any reason why I shouldn't just throw it on marketplace and get rid of it? I guess I could throw it in a mower over the winter time, but that seems like a waste, as even commercially I don't see more than 30 hours being put on one mower

You need our permission to sell oil you don't want?

30 weight is fine, amsoil makes a stout 10w30, 50 is your personal preference.

They did call for 30 weight oil for years, not really sure why they all call for a 20w50 now.

why do you say that? You mean just the general hassle when it comes to selling anything?

Some things are easy to sell while some things are hard. Most people don't want to buy discounted oil from a stranger to use in their engine. I wouldn't, would you? Anyone here saying they would is a rare person. Go ahead and list it you never know.

I thought it's always -$2/qt (i.e. MINUS $2). Those magic members get rebates on top of clearance pricing!

Also, for Pablo: That stale oil smell?....you must describe it.

Since you have 10 of them I'd say you got 3 options:
Just run them.
Test them and run them.
Sell it. Preferably on ebay that way you don't have to deal with craigslist and fb reeeeeetards.

I've never had issues selling stuff on fb. The key is to meet them somewhere, so if they get weird you can just go back home and don't have to worry about someone taking 3hrs longer than they say to get there and then you have them randomly show up when you decide to go someone else because your time is more valuable.

well I can get rid of 5 of them if I do an oil change on both mowers now and dump it out again around march. i've heard over time the molecules change according to a test on here, although I didn't watch the whole video and wasn't really sure what he was getting at as far as using the old oil.
