Now that I know that the oil is good, how many miles can I leave it in the car? This is my first time using synthetic and with dino oil I usually changed it every 3k miles.

I never change the diff lube... In '00 when I did a gear swap in my '69 Fairlane to install a highway gear, I drained out the original lube... Wasn't anything wrong with the original gear, just wanted to change ratios... Unless someone changed it prior to me buying it, my '93 Lightning is still running orig gear lube...

The axle oil in my Cherokee seems to be the factory fill from 1997. Which will change as soon as I get a weekend nice enough to fight bolts that have been painted over, then sprayed with water, salt, and glop for 15 years. (I think I'm going to need a few new bolts.)
