I found some of this oil at our local fleet farm store. Anybody try this stuff before in any air cooled hot running small engines? I just bought 4 quarts of this oil to try out. Goes for about $5 a quart. It just says API SL/CF, SJ, SH, SG JASO MA. It is rated down to -55f (-48c). I also bought 4 quarts of Briggs and Stratton 100074WEB synthetic 5w30 oil for about $7 a quart at my local ace hardware to also trey out lol.

This stuff will probably be fine ... but I don't think it's a great fit.

0W-40 is for applications that really need a 40 weight oil at temp but also the lowest possible pour point for starting in below freezing temps.

I'd be afraid that extreme high temp torture-service will sheer it down. Try it ... but watch for high consumption and be sure to top-off as necessary.

it would be used in honda ohvs and honda clone engines powering pressure washer, and a generator or two. if it shears down t oa 30 weight it wont bother me since the equipment mostly specs 10w30 for general use.

i figure easy starting all year around and decent protection of a 30-40 weight oil. for emergency situations in the extreme cold or summer use too.
