So, I have been tossing the idea of a 0w20 oil around a bit or LOT lately and my OCD is really kicking in. Options are M1 0w20, Synpower 0w20 or PP 0w20, possibly 0w20 EDGE. Driving is 90~ % highway and very little stop and go driving also

M1. I ran it for 15K and 17K with 2.9 TBN remaining. Easy to find, usually some deals on it at WM, and works well.

No; the 17K run was M1 EP.

I have been using AMSOIL Signature Series 0W20 for the last 100,000 miles changing it once a year. I have 131000 on my 09 ford Edge now and good to go for another 130000.

Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 at walmart for $25/jug is a good deal. also seems to have high moly if you are into that.

I'm planning to use M1 EP 0W20 with Fram Ultra in 2014 Accord for 2 OCI's. I would reset the first OLM and change oil&filter on second OLM.

I should have added this to the OP...I used AFE for the other runs and I have posted previously that I was not that impressed with EP versus AFE. The TAN was much higher with EP versus AFE (but not high enough to be overly concerned)--the AFE just seems to be all around good oil.

Hard to beat either M1 formulas given the price (especially with rebates right now). Probably the best bang for the buck in 0w-20 there is!

AFE. I just did not see the value in EP and I am certain that I ran it long enough to see if there was a difference between them. Of concern was the TAN reading between AFE and EP. Granted, nothing happened to the engine and I am sure it could have gone longer but 8.9 TAN (EP) versus 5.3 (AFE) with only a 2K mile difference was a little telling to me. The other part is **most times** EP costs more than AFE. My entire stash for my Explorer (save for the 1 OC of PUP) is AFE.

I have PP 0w20 in the sump now, im going to change it tomorrow with some more PP 0w20. My malibu likes it and its not consuming oil. I went to walmart and picked up some mobil1 AFE 0w20 for the following 2 O/C's and going to fill out my rebate forms. Got some acdelce pf64's on the way from rockauto so after rebates the next 2 oil changes are only $15 a piece.

Im trying out the PP 0w20 right now in my camry, but I got a ways to go still, another 10k before its time to change it out. With the 0w20 toyota brand oil the engine would consume a bit down to the low mark on the dipstick, but I'll see how it does with the PP oil.

Lots of good choices in this grade these days.
If I had to select one oil in this grade, I'd probably go with M1 AFE. As noted above, there's also a sweet rebate through May 31st.
I'm not sure what you hope to gain in using this grade over a 5W-20, particularly with 90% highway driving, but it certainly won't do any harm.

I'm using black Edge, but gold Edge is designed for longer oil changes.

I haven't researched what enables gold Edge to have longer intervals than black Edge.

Other people have evidence to recommend M1 EP, so I think that would be the best choice.
