Results of 9,700 Mile run on Daughters 08 2.5X. SuperTech Synthetic Oil. 25,700 Miles on vehicle. My daughter is a sales representative and puts on a lot of miles. Maybe only 30% highway which is more impressive. Obviously the Subaru had a hand in it.

One of the Best oil analysis for this mileage

Very impressive. I probably will stick with this stuff. I think this oil gets no respect. :)

The oil was drained cold. That obviously hurt the Flash some.

Changed by the dealer before this change with Citgo 5w30. And I replaced it with SuperTech 5w30 this time also. Glad I did. I don't care for the Sodium it is a possible tracer for glycol. But you take the good with the bad.

Oh yea Subaru Oil filter used for all changes so far.

That's a lot of mileage for one year with 30% highway miles.

That's 25,700 miles in one year or less. I do know commercial 60/40 going that route basically city driving.

Yea..it might me more than 30%. That was strictly a guess.

What? Can it be? A "bargin" brand group III with numbers like these?

This is a great example of how (like beauty) "better" is in the eye of the beholder. It's hard to imageine that any pruduct, regardless of brand/grade/group, would give "better" results; the numbers are simply admirable. There are products that might last LONGER in service, but not perform "better"; i.e. - they likely wouldn't post wear results significantly lower. So VALUE comes into play here. You ran almost 10k miles on a $3/qt oil, and got good numbers to boot. Just can't beat that.

There is no reason to deviate to any other product with such results. While it's possible that some other higher group product (Amsoil; Mobil 1) might perform longer, you got your money's worth and stellar performance to boot. A true "best buy" value that did you right.

Yea Pabs, thinning doesn't seem to hurt anything from what we have seen.

All of the Supertech Synthetics are supplied by WPP countrywide. The conventional supertech has different manufacturers depending on location, with exception of the 5w-20 which is WPP countrywide(like the synthetics)

Al,

Citgo 5w30?
Isn't that Hugo Chavez' favorite home brew???

I don't think I've ever seen a bad UOA report from a non-turbocharged Sube engine.

Well I wish I had seen this report sooner, I would have used this oil in place of the Valvoline Synpower I purchased, and saved around 5-$7. Oh well, maybe in 9k miles or so, depending on my UOA results for my first extended run.
