04 Ranger 74k Miles Minor rear main seal leakage

Hey guys, i have a 04 Ranger w/ 74k miles.
I just notice my rear main seal is starting to leak very little, its dripping by like a dot a day or so....
I changed my oil probably 3 months ago, and my oil level is still at FULL.

Currently running castrol edge w/titanium 5W 20

i was wondering what do you guys suggest that might stop this small leak.

I was thinking using max life full synthetic 5w30.

Yes, moving to a high mileage oil could help.

On the other hand, what were you using before? The Castrol?

If it was something else, maybe just go back to that.

Instead of switching to a 30wt oil you could try Mobil 1 5W-20 at your next oil change which is heavier than what you're running now. I also believe is contains more seal swell additive.

The other option is to buy a seal swell additive, the light oil type, and add it to your current fill. Gunk is one brand.

You could try Maxlife.
Fixing this type of leak is one of its claims to fame, and it does come in 5W-20.

After changing the seal you might consider adding an a POE based oil to help swell the seals. Motul and Redline come to mind. I run Redline 0w30 in the 93' 240 for that reason.

I'd try any brand name high mile oil and see what happens.

I'd love to get the maxlife 5w20 full synthetic...
All i can find is the synthetic blend....

So i got mobil 1 high milage full synthetic 5w30.

Currently running castrol edge w/ titanium 5w20.

My manual calls for 5w20... but i think 5w30 will be fine
