What is a good brand of A/C Schrader Valves?

What type of gauge set are you using? If you don't have the style that you can back off to not engage the valve, then it's possible that you're bending them slightly when working on the car.

    Walmart EverStart Maxx - Warranty

Some of you are encountering crappy stores and/or employees if it's taking an inordinate amount of time to swap out a battery that's actually bad. Take it to the Auto center cashier to exchange it. Most, if not all WM stores, should be testing the battery with a conductance style...

Why would a freezer evaporator ice over?

Years ago, I had a thermistor(temperature sensor) fail causing my evaporator to freeze up on my side-by-side 'fridge. https://diy.repairclinic.com/a-faulty-thermistor-can-cause-a-refrigerator-to-run-constantly/

Best place to get drain plug washers?

Non-crush copper washers last a VERY long time so long as you're pretty consistent with torque on the plug. I've ran original ones to about a quarter million miles before changing them for example.

    ABS codes

I believe Hyper Tough's dongle from Walmart has been the cheapest option all system code scanner for the last few years now. They used to be a clone of the Autel AP200(and still might be, but in a different package now. Walmart changed the appearance of it about 1-1.5 years ago to square shaped...

    Joey "Jaws" Chestnut Wins Again

Most competitive eaters "purge" the contents after training and competitions. According to past competition info, that 62 hot dogs would be about 16,740 calories. Some of them do supposedly keep certain foods down, but they eat very little for the next several days(you would have to do this if...

    Any microwave oven experts?

Since it went out right when your wife opened the door: It might be worth checking the door switches. My microwave went out a few years ago and I found a shorted door switch(which caused a thermal fuse inside to pop). No breaker tripped when this happened though.

    Puzzling reading on AC gages.

His vent temperature is warm, but so are those on the chart. Those are minimums your ac system should hit.

    topdon battery test results

Does that Ridgeline have an AGM battery? A lot of those cheap testers will not give accurate readings on those or will read inconsistently. I have one tester that consistently puts AGM batteries about 250-300cca higher than other testers for example. I posted this in another recent thread that...

    Odd battery test

Conductance testers will almost always test over the rating on the label rating on a new battery, but yours does seem optimistic on that particular battery and programming is likely to blame. I've had a tester before that optimistically rated AGM batteries in particular due to what I assume is a...

    Counterfeit O2 sensor?

The advice from the Bosch rep doesn't really mean anything at all. When purchasing parts from "Rockauto," you're really purchasing automotive parts from various warehouses that are typically authorized resellers. Parts Authority and United Auto Supply are the ones I most often receive parts...

    Using Leak Detection Dye

Your dye is defective if you can't see any trace of it under your uv light. No matter what size uv light you have, a bit of residual dye in that bottle should fluoresce like crazy even in broad daylight.

2006 Toyota highlander v6 new alternator not charging.

Raise the idle and see if it's charging. If so, clean the throttle body, relearn idle, then recheck voltage. It's super common to have to relearn the idle and/or clean the throttle body when unhooking a battery on that era Toyota vehicle.
