    Blue Driver anyone?

I have the Blue Driver. For domestics it’s great. I can read everything on my Camaro and Mustang and even my brother’s Jeep Patriot. ABS, airbag, transmission, etc. Imports not so much. I was on the beta team that experimented on Nissan and Infiniti and they are starting to get more enhanced...

    Street/track oil suggestions

Mobil 1 15w50. GM even recommends it with their LS engines in the owners manual. And you can get it pretty easily. If the 30 grade is an absolute must, then I would just go with Royal Purple HPS 5 or 10w30.

    paddle shifters

My Camaro has them and I think I tried them once but I realized I need a clutch to shift. The paddle shifters feel like a toy. Never liked them.

About Mobil full synthetic and Engine noise

Mobil 1 is the Bees Knees... Anyway, I can't see this being a fair comparison when so many different viscosities were used. I also call [censored] on the MPG claim. No way to have a control value solid enough in real world driving for a balanced experiment.

Which used Truck should I buy or be looking at?

Ford F150 or Chevy Silverado you really can't go wrong with. Motorcraft and AC Delco parts are cheap and easy to find. Most maintenance on them is fairly simple as well. At least the ones I've worked on. I'm not a fan of Japanese trucks but I guess they must have a market if they are still...

    6.4 Liter Hemi-2nd oil change

All the Mopar guys I know at the track use Mobil 1 0w40 and swear by it. Not a big sample pool, but these guys are throwing down 12's and 11's, so their engines are putting in work. I'm sure the Castrol is good as well, but I've mostly seen Chargers and Challenger Hellcats and SRT Hemis using...

Are minivans still the best kid vehicles?

4 months before my daughter was born I bought a 2010 Camaro SS and have had it ever since. I had her rear facing car seat in the back and now her forward facing. I've been on trips to the beach, aquarium, and zoo with her and when I was still married to my ex wife both fitting. And her jogging...

Interesting video - Dispelling Oil Myths

Good Video. I'm actually surprised how unbiased the presentation was. You would think from him being a Red Line Exec he'd be pushing that hard, but he is very fair and honest, plus the information is very good.

    2006 Pontiac Solstice

For the longest time I always thought the only reason this car was made was for the Transformers move that came out around that time. It does look like it could be a fun summer canyon car though. Light, low to the ground and a decent 4 cyl.

Disagreement with mechanic over trans oil change

I think it's time to find a new mechanic. Many manufacturers have a transmission change and filter change as part of a maintenance schedule. Usually around 75k-100k. Why would they recommend that if it will ruin the car? Most cars are still under warranty at that time as well. I wouldn't...
